Many Cyprus companies offer utility services connection, and all you have to do is to contact one of these companies. They will save your time and money so that you will not have to handle it yourself.
Although if you feel confident you may apply for utility services connection using following steps.
1. Apply for telephone connection
The period of the telephone connection varies on the location of the house. If the house is located in a developed area, you may obtain a connection within 10 days.
2. Apply for Sewerage connection
It will take around 10 days to obtain sewerage connection in Nicosia Sewerage Board.
3. Apply for Water connection
In order to request for water connection the applicant should apply personally, although you may find all the required applications on the website of Nicosia Sewerage Board. You should attach to your application property deed, building permit and topographic plan.
4. Apply for Electricity connection
You may apply for electricity connection personally or by email. You will find all the required forms on the website of Electric Authority of Cyprus. in the application you should provide full details about the location, your contact information and provide copy of title deed. Most of the applicants prefer to apply for electricity connection before the construction process, as this type of connection take some time.
5. Inspection from Authority of Cyprus
Once you have submitted an application, prepare for an inspection visit. An inspector will visit you in order to calculate the connection costs and to prepare an estimate. It ill take 2 to 3 days for to prepare an estimate for an inspector. Although, prior to sharing of an estimate costs and inspector should obtain an approval to the government authorities, such as sewerage, telecom, municipality. public works and fire station which will take around 3-6 month.
6. Electricity Connection
The connection work varies on the complexity of the project and it may take up to 2 days. Although it will take from 3 to 6 month to start connnection works.
